Greetings! I'm the webmaster, but cause we're friends, you can call me Lils :-3. I'm 19, and I'm based in the UK. I started this website over a year ago to teach myself a new skill and fill my time whilst I'm not working. Along the way, I have discovered a passion for the medium, as well as for the old web. This website is in a permenamt work in process state, but my aim is to one day get to a point where I have my own personal site which encapsulates my nostalgia for the internet and tv as I remember it from my early childhood. I am new to coding, so much of this site is made with reference to the resources of w3schools. The sadgrl site is also invaluable for resources - this page and my tube shrine are based upon one of the free to use templates from that site!
My other interests include:- The London Underground / Trains
- Crime Fiction
- Sports; I'm a massive fan of the Arsenal and Munster Rugby
- Literature and Poetry
- Video Games (Legend of Zelda, Pokemon, Sonic the Hedgehog etc.)
- Cool Britainnia, Britpop and 90s and 2000s British Culture
Sometimes I think that I am quite a boring person, but I reckon I'm actually just about interesting enough. One thing about me is I love to learn new things! Because of this, I can be described as a: miniaturist, cellist, barista, knitter, seamstress, portrait artist, and webmaster. I'm also learning Irish, but I kind of struggle with learning languages so ummmmmm... I can only say some basic things. However, I'd recommend the Easy Irish app, Teanglann.ie and the BBC Bitesize Page, all of which I'm using alongside Duolingo. I don't want to keep using Duolingo cause of the AI thing and the lack of focus on a specific dialect, but I'm yet to find a practical alternative.
